Michael J. Defeo II, Esq

Michael founded DeFeo Law to serve the community’s real estate needs in a fresh way. He takes pride in the personalized attention each client receives using the level of technology each client prefers, whether that is face-to-face meetings, telephone conversations, email, video conferencing, or even text messaging.

Michael aims to protect your interest and close your transaction in a timely and efficient manner. His experience includes all aspects of real estate transactions from contract negotiation to closing, as well as experience with commercial/residential leasing, landlord-tenant, and organization and sale of small businesses.

Prior to founding the firm, Michael gained invaluable experience over the course of his career in private practice representing clients in various matters.

Michael received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University in 2014 where he was a member of the Men’s Tennis Team. Following Brandeis, Michael served as an Adviser of the Holy See at the United Nations in New York City, where he attended daily Security Council, First Committee and Fourth Committee sessions.

Michael received his Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2019. Following law school, Michael served as Law Clerk to The Honorable Joseph A. Portelli, J.S.C., in the Passaic County Superior Court of New Jersey, Criminal Division, during the 2019-2020 court term.

Michael is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New Jersey (2019).
